Italian Lessons with a Native Speaker
For adult students — in Moscow and online

We work on speaking, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening comprehension and the practical use of Italian in real communication.
My goal is not simply to help you “know the rules”, but to help you actually use Italian: speak, answer, ask questions, express your ideas and gradually become more confident.
You do not need to speak Russian to study with me.

How My Lessons Work
The main language of instruction is Italian.
This is an essential part of my method: the aim is to learn to understand and use Italian directly, without becoming dependent on constant translation.
When necessary, I can briefly clarify something in English.
Russian is not used as the working language of the lesson, so my lessons are also suitable for international residents in Moscow and elsewhere in Russia who do not speak Russian.
I do not teach by translating every sentence or explaining the entire lesson in another language.
If you are looking for a teacher who will constantly translate everything for you, my format will probably not be the right fit.
New vocabulary is understood through context, examples, images, synonyms, situations, gestures and words you already know.
If you do not know a word, we learn to express the idea in another way rather than immediately switching to translation.
This gradually helps you overcome the language barrier and become more independent in Italian.
During the lesson, you are expected to participate actively: speak, answer questions, build sentences, read, listen, experiment, make mistakes and correct them.
I do not consider a lesson effective when the teacher speaks for most of the time while the student simply listens, takes notes and rarely communicates.
Independent work between lessons is also part of the learning process.
Homework helps reinforce what we cover in class and gradually move Italian from passive knowledge to active use.
I do not promise “fast results without effort”.
There is no realistic way to learn a language without regular work by the student.
Progress depends not only on the teacher, but also on consistency, independent practice and active participation during lessons.
I work best with students who have a genuine reason to learn Italian and are willing to work steadily towards that goal.

- Pronunciation & PhoneticsWork on pronunciation, intonation, sentence rhythm and a more natural Italian sound.
Levels & Language of Instruction
I work with students from A1 to C1.
Lessons are also available for motivated complete beginners at A0.
For beginners, basic English comprehension is helpful because I may occasionally use English for a short clarification when needed.
If you already have at least an A1 level, we can gradually move towards working almost entirely in Italian: naturally, calmly and without constant dependence on translation.

About the Teacher

I am Italian, a native speaker, and I have been teaching Italian to adult students since 2020.
I have completed 145 hours of documented specialised training in teaching Italian as a foreign language.
This includes methodology, Italian grammar, linguistics and supervised teaching practice.
I personally conduct all lessons.
